A simple place to start
Open the app and create or import a language combination. Then practise freely or work through a chapter.
AI features incur OpenAI API costs. With a test code, the developer pays: models are fixed and image generation is disabled. Your own photos can still be used. For longer use, please bring your own API key.
Your data and privacy
Learning history and curriculum stay in your browser. Content needed for AI features—including text, recordings and selected images—is sent to OpenAI for processing. With test access, it passes through the Minotavi server; with your own key, it goes directly from your browser.
Your own API key stays in tab memory until the page closes or reloads. For test access, the OpenAI key stays on the server and your tab receives a temporary access token. The proxy does not persist conversations, photos or audio; temporary audio uploads are removed after the request. Microphone and camera access require permission. Export backups to protect your progress. AI feedback can be wrong.
Keep it handy on Android
- Open Minotavi in current Chrome.
- Open the browser menu and choose Install app or Add to Home screen, when offered.
- Launch Minotavi from its home-screen icon.
Installation is optional. AI features need an Internet connection. After a fresh start, enter your API key or test code again.
Browsers and devices
Recommended: current Chrome on Android or Windows. Automated app tests cover Chromium.
Other browsers and systems—including Edge, Firefox, Safari, macOS and iOS—are not yet fully verified for Minotavi. Voice and installation behavior may differ.
